Lead an adventurous life, full of physical and mental challenges

An apprenticeship in the Armed Forces can lead you to an adventurous life, full of physical and mental challenges. A wide variety of roles across the Forces exist- you don’t need to be a soldier!

As an army solider you could be working in conflict zones or peacekeeping on humanitarian missions, or perhaps you would rather specialise your role in construction, or animal care? If analytical creativity is more up your street, the Army offers apprenticeships in engineering too with a broad variety of roles available to you. Your apprenticeship will be planned to fit around your military training and relate closely to your role. That means that as well as becoming a better soldier, you’ll be working towards a qualification that will also be valued by employers outside of the Army.

As an RAF apprentice, receive the very best training and as well as getting paid to learn, you’ll get the chance to travel the world, play sport and perform an important role in the RAF as well as dedicated on base medical and dental care. There are currently 23 roles to choose from- all rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. They offer a broad and diverse range of careers including aviation operations, engineering, hospitality & catering and IT.

When you start an apprenticeship in the Royal Navy, you’re right at the beginning of an adventure that will take you all around the world. You’ll be a valuable member of our team as soon as you join, because you’ll be learning on the job, making a vital contribution and earning a competitive wage from day one. And our world-class training will mean you have all the transferable skills you need to succeed in civilian life. Over 20+ roles are available as Royal Navy apprenticeships- again all rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. The Royal Navy is also rated as a ‘Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer’ and, with one of the highest completion rates in the UK, is a recognised provider of quality apprenticeships.

If you are fit, hardworking and able to function well as part of a team, any of these roles could be well suited to you!
